The Huskies (0-1) fell to McMurry, 26-17, in their first official game as an NCAA program last Saturday night in the home opener at Husky Stadium. Freshman linebacker
Garrett Dolan recorded 14 tackles and leads the Southland Conference in stops per game. Freshman safety
Taylor Thompson and junior cornerback

Josh Jones registered a sack for a safety.
On offense, sophomore quarterback
Jonathan Fleming completed 20-of-39 passes for 179 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. Freshman running back
B.J. Kelly rushed 13 times for 64 yards, and freshman wide receiver
D'Angelo Wallace made six catches for 61 yards and the first official touchdown in program history -- a 14-yard strike from Fleming in the third quarter.
Northern Colorado (0-1) nearly pulled off an upset of FBS opponent UNLV in a 13-12 loss Saturday in Las Vegas. Trailing 13-10 in the fourth quarter, the Bears recorded a safety, but missed a 23-yard field goal on the ensuing drive with 5:45 remaining.
Quarterback Sean Rubalcaba was 16-for-21 for 189 yards and an interception, with Dimitri Stimphil catching seven passes for 117 yards. Darius Graham rushed for 62 yards, while Robert Holland added 58. On defense, Courtney Hall had a pair of interceptions, while Kyle Griffin and Ryan Gackle also added one each. Jaqueal Walker led the Bears with 14 tackles, and Dominick Sierra had nine.
The Huskies will also be on the road next Saturday, when they play Texas College in a noon kickoff at Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium in Tyler, Texas. HBU returns home for the Southland Conference opener on Family Weekend against Abilene Christian Sept. 27 at Husky Stadium.
