BestColleges.com's List of Most Diverse Colleges and Universities
HOUSTON – Houston Baptist University is one of the most diverse universities in the United States.
According to BestColleges.com's list of the "50 Most Diverse Colleges and Universities," HBU is sixth. CUNY University New York, located in New York, N.Y., was picked the most diverse, followed by Rutgers University-Newark (Newark, N.J.), the University of Houston, Holy Names University (Oakland, Calif.), and CUNY New York City College of Technology (Brooklyn, N.Y.)
From BestColleges.com's website: "Houston Baptist University boasts a larger student body than any of the other religiously affiliated schools in our top 10 by a considerable margin. Four racial groups – Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latino, and White – each comprise double-digit percentages of Houston Baptist University's student body. Women also outnumber male students by a margin of nearly 2:1. The university offers several merit- and needs-based scholarships for undergraduate students."
