Houston Christian University Men's Soccer Head Coach
Ryan Pratt and Women's Head Coach
Nick Whiting announced on Tuesday that
Archie Massen and
Quentin Boric have each been promoted to Associate Head Coach of their respective programs.
Â
Massen completed his fifth season with the men, a year in which he helped lead the Huskies to their second straight Ohio Valley Conference runner-up finish. The Huskies went 11-5-3 this season, registering the most wins in a single season since the 1990 team won 14.
Â
He has helped guide 16 players to end-of-season conference accolades in HCU's three years in the OVC, including four with Player of the Year honors and three consecutive Freshman of the Year winners.
Â
Boric will be entering his third season with the women's side. This past season he helped lead the Huskies to a single-season best 12 wins which culminated in the third Southland Conference title in program history. The Huskies entered the SLC Tournament as the fifth-seed and proceeded to defeat the fourth, first and second seeds in order while allowing just one goal in the three matches.
Â
HCU advanced to their third NCAA Regional, where they fell to LSU in Baton Rouge. Boric has overseen three All-Southland Conference selections as well as seven Academic All-Conference honorees in his two seasons.
