HOUSTON – HBU sophomore setter
Kayla Armer was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 Second Team Thursday, as voted on by the region's sports information directors.
Armer is a Bradenton, Fla., native who has a 4.0 GPA as a psychology major. She ranks second in the Southland Conference with 10.86 assists per set, just fractions of a point behind the leader. Armer has 2,352 career assists, which already ranks sixth on the Huskies' all-time list.
The CoSIDA award is the first earned by an HBU volleyball student-athlete since the program transitioned to NCAA Division I play in 2007.
