UTA rode its hot hand to a 12-2 run to open the game, with Outler scoring eight on a pair of threes and a layup, and HBU missing nine of its first 10 shots. The Mavs got threes by Wilson, Hill and two more by Outler to extend their lead to 29-8 with 10:03 remaining and led by as many as 23 in the opening frame.
