"Those couple of early goals made us chase and we knew if we had to chase, we'd probably have a difficult time," said HBU head coach Misty Jones. "Texas A&M is a fantastic team, the best opponent we've faced. It was a bit of a culture shock for us. The game got away from us, but we're a young team and we'll be back."

Lindsay Matlock, Natalie Hager, and Charlotte Vancura each had a shot for HBU (10-7-5), while Matlock had the lone shot on goal.

Patty Walrath set a new career high with 14 saves.

Kelley Monogue had two goals, while Shea Groom and Bianca Brinson each had a three-point match for Texas A&M (19-2-2). Jordan Day earned the win, as she made one save in 45 minutes. Two other keepers split time in the second half.

The Aggies wasted little time getting a lead, as Monogue scored on a cross pass from Annie Kuntz just four minutes into the action.

TAMU took a 2-0 lead six minutes later, as Monogue scored her second of the night, on a beautiful shot off a cross pass by Bianca Brinson.

Bailey gave the Aggies their third goal, in the 24th minute, as she scored off a rebound following a Walrath save on a shot by Kunz.

Brinson scored the Aggies' fourth goal, as she hit top-shelf on a cross pass deep in the box in the 56th minute.

Shea Groom gave TAMU a 5-0 lead on an individual effort, as she deked the defender and scored top-shelf at the 61-minute mark.

In the 69th minute, Walrath made a phenomenal diving save on Bailey.
