The Huskies (2-5) are coming off a thrilling 74-72 overtime win at Army on Saturday, getting 21 points from junior guard
Tyler Russell, including a game-winning three-point play, and 18 points from sophomore guard
Rob Lewis. Lewis leads HBU with 13.0 points per game, while Russell is averaging 12.1 and sophomore forward
Cody Joyce adds 9.7. Junior center
Ricmonds Vilde leads the Huskies on the boards with 6.4 rebounds per game, and posted his first career double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds at Army.
Rice (3-4) has three players averaging in double figures, led by Max Guercy at 12.0 points per game, while Austin Ramljak averages 11.9 and Sean Obi adds 10.7 points and leads the Owls with 8.3 rebounds per game. Rice is also coming off a close victory as well, pulling off a 67-66 win at Santa Clara Saturday.
HBU and Rice will be facing each other for the fifth-straight season, and the Owls own a 6-0 record all-time in the series. Rice took last year's decision, 61-53, on Dec. 1 at Tudor Fieldhouse. Ramljak led the Owls with 12 points, while Timir Jackson had 11 points and 12 rebounds, and Guercy also added 11 points. Russell and
Art Bernardi had 15 points each for the Huskies, with Bernardi pulling down 14 rebounds. Junior guard
Marcel Smith chipped in with 10 points.
The Huskies return to action when they face No. 21 Michigan Saturday at Chrisler Arena in Ann Arbor, Mich.
