The Huskies started the game with a 9-0 run over the first 2:45 behind five points from Bernardi. An alley-oop dunk by Womack from Lewis on an inbounds play punctuated HBU's 14-2 spurt midway through the half to extend the HBU's lead to 34-13 with 7:36 remaining. The Patriots got 3-pointers on back-to-back possessions from Reed and Green, but the Huskies scored on 14-straight trips down the court, a streak that did not end until their final possession of the half. HBU took a 50-27 lead into the break.
