HBU begins the season with three games at the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu, Hawai'i. The Huskies open with Arkansas-Pine Bluff Nov. 9, followed by Maryland-Eastern Shore Nov. 11, then against host Hawai'i Nov. 13, which will be shown on ESPN at 3 a.m. central time. The game is the third leg of ESPN's College Hoops Tipoff Marathon and marks the first time any HBU program has been featured on a national broadcast.
Following the week-long trip, the Huskies return for their home opener against Dallas Christian Nov. 17.

Ron Cottrell was officially inducted into the HBU Sports Hall of Honor at tonight's awards banquet. Coach Cottrell, who also served as athletic director from 1994-2009, is the all-time winningest basketball coach in school history, passing the 400-victory milestone last season.
