NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Houston Baptist placed 17 of its fall student-athletes on the Great West Academic All-Conference Team, the league office announced earlier today. The 17 members were second-most, not including football, behind Utah Valley's 30.

The Huskies were tied for the most 4.0s in the conference with three as women's cross country runners Erica Clark and Halcie Pfeiffer and volleyball player Sarah Hazlewood earned the honor.

HBU had two members of the men's cross country team, four members of the women's cross country team, four members of the women's soccer team and seven members of the volleyball team. The seven volleyball players were tied for the most in the sport, with UT-Pan American and Utah Valley.
