NAPERVILLE, Ill. – Sophomore defender Arielle Rodriguez has been named to the Great West All-Conference Team, the league office announced earlier today.
Rodriguez, who hails from Lakewood, Calif., has appeared in 18 matches for the Huskies, recording three assists and taking eight shots.
The head coaches of the two teams who won their respective divisions – South Carolina State and Utah Valley – Glad Bugariu of SCSU and Brent Anderson of UVU – were named Coach of the Year.
Piper Lunan of NJIT was named Offensive Player of the Year for the East Division while Nicole Archibald Spencer was honored for the West Division.
Sadie Mele of NJIT won her second straight Defensive Player of the Year in the East Division, while Andi Bagdan of Utah Valley won the award from the West Division.
Newcomer of the Year awards went to Briana Lopez of South Carolina State from the East Division and Lauren Sack from Utah Valley for the West Division.
