HUSKIES DROP SEASON FINALE AT UTAH VALLEY

Emanuel Willis led the team with nine points

OREM, Utah - In their final game of the season, the HBU Huskies fell by a score of 80-42 to Utah Valley at the McKay Events Center on the campus of UVU.

In the first half, the Wolverines quickly jumped out to a 13-2 lead less than six minutes into the game.  UVU continued to extend its lead and the Huskies trailed 34-14 at the half.

At the half, the Huskies were shooting just 18.8 percent and were 0-8 from beyond the three-point arc.  Utah Valley held a 30-19 advantage on the boards.  Emanuel Willis was the team's top scorer with six points.

The second half was much the same story for HBU as the Huskies never got closer than 18 in the second half.

Willis closed out the game as the Huskies' leading scorer with nine points. The senior was 3-6 from the field and 3-5 from the foul line.  Gordon Watt finished the game with seven points and a team-high seven boards. 

The 42 points scored by HBU was the team's lowest scoring output of the season and the 27.6 field goal percentage was also the lowest.  The Huskies were just 2-18 from three-point range and were out-rebounded 47-28.  Utah Valley shot over 50 percent for the game.

HBU closes out the 2008-09 season with a record of 5-25.
