Sophomore shortstop Shelby Echols led the Huskies to a 3-0 weekend, hitting .692 (9-for-13), slugging at a 1.077 clip, with a .733 on-base percentage, two doubles, a home run, eight RBIs and five runs. The Pearland, Texas, native went 4-for-5 with a pair of doubles, a home run, six RBIs and scored twice in Saturday's victory over Lamar. In Sunday's win over the Cardinals, Echols was 3-for-4 with walk, two RBIs, scored twice. In Sunday night's 7-0 win over Houston, she was 2-for-4 with a walk and scored a run.
