Junior Kaitlin Smith won her second-straight pentathlon gold at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Ala. The Wailuku, Hawai'i, fell just nine points shy of her own program record with a score of 3,925 points. Smith set a new school record in the 60-meter hurdles, taking home the silver, and also finished sixth in the long jump.
