Quentin Boric is in his second year as assistant women's soccer coach at HCU after his hire in June of 2024.
In his first season with the program, the Huskies finished with a 5-9-5 overall record and a 3-4-3 mark in Southland Conference play, just missing out on the SLC Tournament. Alexa Huerta and Olivia Rossman earned all-conference honors for the 2024 season with both also earning a spot on the academic all-conference team.
Â
Boric joined the Huskies after four seasons as the assistant coach at the University of the Cumberlands, helping lead the Patriots to their first national championship in 2023. That season, the Patriots won the Mid-South Conference regular season crown with a 5-0-1 record while going undefeated through the entire regular season with a 13-0-3 record.
The Patriots suffered their only defeat of the season in the Mid-South Conference tournament before reeling off five consecutive wins en route to the national title. Boric helped guide the Patriots to a No. 1 MRPI ranking in 2023 a year after finishing No. 2.
Â
Leading the defensive unit and goalkeepers, Boric helped guide the team to just one goal allowed in five national tournament matches. During the 2023 tournament, the Patriots defense went 447 consecutive minutes before conceding their first, and only, goal. During the championship match, junior Georgia Martell made 19 saves and senior Laura Vogt made two additional stops during penalty kicks to guide the Patriots to victory.
Â
Prior to capturing the program’s first national championship, Boric was instrumental in the program’s growth and success. Since his debut on the Cumberlands staff in 2020, Boric helped lead the Patriots to one Mid-South tournament championship, two Mid-South regular season titles and four-straight appearances at the NAIA Final Site. During those years, the Patriots reached the Elite Eight twice and the Final Four once before last year’s national championship run. Boric also helped the Patriots’ defensive unit break the program record for shutouts in a season with 15 in 2021.
Â
During his four seasons in Williamsburg, Ky., Boric coached 26 all-conference selections and 10 all-American selections.
Â
Boric was a three-year starter at Bridgewater College, finishing his career with nearly 200 saves, eight shutouts and an .818 save percentage in goal. He currently holds a Master in Health and Human Performance and a USSF C coaching license.
