Parker Whiteaker begins his first season as an assistant coach with Houston Christian University.

Now in his 10th year in collegeiate athletics, Whiteaker comes to the Huskies after serving as an assistant coach at Eastern Florida State College for two seasons. He helped the Titans to back-to-back 23-win seasons under two different head coaches, which set and then tied the school record for most wins by a new staff. EFSC won five ranked matchups and produced seven Division I players, among them a NJCAA First-Team All-American, a Citrus Conference Player of the Year and seven All-Conference selections. As offensive coordinator, Whiteaker helped Eastern to the ninth-best scoring offense in the junior college ranks in 2025-26, averaging 90.6 points per game.

Whiteaker began as a student manager and practice player at the University of Mississippi, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management. He served under Andy Kennedy in 2017-18 and Kermit Davis from 2018-22. During that time, the Rebels developed four All-SEC players and appeared in the NCAA Tournament (2018-19) and the NIT (2020-21).

He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at VCU under Mike Rhoades and Ryan Odom, where he assisted in scouting, player development, and operations. During those two seasons, the Rams won consecutive conference championships and back-to-back appearances in the conference tournament championship game. The Rams earned an NCAA Tournament berth in 2023 and advanced to the NIT quarterfinals in 2024. During his tenure in Richmond, he helped develop the 2023 Atlantic 10 Player of the Year and five All-Conference players while the Rams won 51 games overall.

A Texas native, Whiteaker graduated from Georgetown High School. He and his wife Kalee currently reside in Richmond.
