Noah Breitenstein is in his first season as an assistant coach for Houston Christian University. He brings five years of coaching experience with three years in the Division I ranks, one in Division II as well as a year in the high school ranks.
Breitenstein comes to the Huskies after a season as an assistant coach at New Mexico Highlands University under Zach Settembre. In his lone season in Las Vegas, New Mexico, the Cowboys posted their first winning conference record in six seasons with an 11-9 mark in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play while going 13-19 overall. The Cowboys also qualified for the RMAC Tournament for the first time since 2022, advancing to the quarterfinals before falling by one point in overtime at Colorado Mesa.
His career began at Coastal Carolina University as a student manager under legendary head coach Cliff Ellis. After one season in that role, he was promoted to Video Coordinator. After completing his bachelor’s degree in just two years, Breitenstein joined head coach Jason Hooten’s inaugural staff at New Mexico State University as a graduate assistant where he earned a master’s degree in communication and leadership.
Following his time in Las Cruces, Breitenstein returned to his hometown of Louisville, Kentucky, where he worked as a Financial Advisor with Raymond James while also serving as an assistant coach at Holy Cross High School during the 2024–25 season.
Prior to beginning his collegiate coaching career, Breitenstein co-founded Kentuckiana Hoops, a scouting service based in Louisville. Through the platform, he helped build a subscription-based website, organized free youth camps for underserved youth in the Louisville area, developed a social media following of more than 20,000 across Instagram and Twitter, and hosted elite exposure camps featuring some of the region’s top basketball talent.
