Mary-Ellen Hall is in her 16th year as Senior Woman Administrator at HCU. The SWA role is the highest ranking female in the HCU athletic department.
Hall's duties at SWA is to coordinate and/or provide support of all women's sports teams at HCU, attend home and away games and conference championships as appropriate to represent the department, participate in the hiring and evaluation of sports coaches, disseminate pertinent information to coaches, provide insight and information regarding women's issues and programming at all levels, as well as support for all women's programs, and represent HCU at Southland Conference and NCAA meetings and conventions.
Hall is also the head softball coach at HCU and completed the 2024 season as the winningest coach among all sports at HCU with 901 victories at her alma mater.
She led the Huskies to the Great West Conference championship in 2011. During her time with the Huskies, she has led the HCU to nine NAIA national championship tournament appearances and was the Red River Athletic Conference Coach of the Year every year HBU was a member. In 2005, the Huskies posted the record for number of wins in a season (51) and concluded the season ranked the highest in program history (2nd). She and assistant coach Roger Willhite have been honored as NAIA Southwest Region Coaching Staff of the Year in 1999 and 2005.
Hall has coached 32 All-Americas and 94 All-Conference/Region selections. In the classroom the Huskies have produced 94 Academic All-America selections and 150 Academic All-Conference/Region honorees.
She was named to the HCU Sports Hall of Honor in 2012.
Hall is a 1988 graduate of HBU.
