2013-14 (Junior): Was named to the Southland Conference Spring Commissioner’s Honor Roll…played in 10 tournaments and finished third on the team with a stroke average of 77.46…recorded four top-20 and two top-10 finishes with one of those placed in the top-five…posted a season-low 36-hole tournament of 148 with two rounds of 74, tying for 10th at the UAB Fall Beach Bash…scored a season-low 54-hole tournament of 227 and tied for 13th at the Islander Classic…had a season-low round of 73 twice at both Le Triomphe and MSU Ocala Invitationals…tied for fourth at Le Triomphe…concluded the season at the SLC Championship with a final round of 81.
2012-13 (Sophomore): Finished fifth on the team with a 82.75 stroke average...appeared in three events, totaling eight rounds…posted season-low of 242 to finish 34th in the SHSU Harold Funston Invitational…fired her season low of 78 in the third round.
2011-12 (Freshman): Recorded an 82.7 stroke average for the season…had one top-20 finish in four tournaments…tied for 23rd with a season-low 54-hole total of 240 at the HBU Husky Invitational…shot a season-best 78 in the final round of the Huskies’ home event…tied for 14th at the Great West Conference Championships with a score of 242.
High School: Was a four-year letterwinner at Katy High School for coach Mike Ellaby…qualified for regionals all four years…was a member of the National Honor Society, National Art Honor Society and Seniors Serving Proudly.
Personal: Full name is Caitlyn Sue Cassity…born April 20, 1993 in Ponca City, Okla.…daughter of Glenn and Roma Cassity…has one brother, Trey, and one sister, Grace…brother, Trey, is a senior on the HBU men’s golf team…majoring in accounting.
