2014 (Sophomore): All-Southland Conference Third Team...HBU Jan Edds Female Athlete of the Year... Southland Conference Spring Honor Roll ...one of five Huskies to start in all 50 games...led the Southland Conference and set a new program single-season record with 22 doubles...was second in the nation with 0.44 doubles per game...hit a .377 batting average (63-for-167), ranking ninth in the Southland...had a career day against Jackson State (2/9), going a perfect 4-for-4 with new career highs of three doubles, four RBI and four runs scored...later matched record with a four-RBI game against Texas Southern (2/18)...went 4-for-4 with two RBI and three runs scored against Southeastern Louisiana (3/22)...began the season with an 11-game hitting streak and ended the year with a hit in 10 of the final 11 games...had 16 two-hit games, one 3-hit contest and two 4-hit games...hit .360 with 32 hits, 12 doubles, two triples, one home run, 19 RBI and 19 runs scored in conference play.

2013 (Freshman): NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete...Southland Spring Honor Roll...appeared in 28 games, making 20 starts...hit .200 (12-for-60)...recorded 12 hits, 10 runs scored, one double, one home run and 10 RBI...recorded first collegiate home run in going  2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs scored against Central Arkansas (3/19)...also recorded a multi-hit game with a 2-for-3 effort against Bucknell (3/11).

High School: A three-year letterwinner and starter...hit .640 as a senior, .460 as a junior and .300 as a sophomore...was a two-time First Team All-District and was also named Second Team All-District...hit a grand slam in first at-bat...was a member of the National Honor Society in 2011 and 2012...earned Academic Excellence honors in Geometry in 2009 and in Algebra II in 2010.

Personal: Full name is Shay Lynn Orsak...born March 24, 1994, in Katy, Texas...daughter of Michael and Shelley Orsak...has one brother, Sheldon, and one sister, Seeley...enjoys listening to music and playing sports...majoring in business.
