2016 (Sophomore): Appeared in and started 35 games…batted .101 with three runs scored and one RBI…recorded four outfield assists.

2015 (RS Freshman): Appeared in and started 40 games...hit .160 with 12 hits, one double, one home run, eight RBI, and four runs...her long ball came at Southeastern Louisiana (2/14)...went 1-for-2 with a double and two RBI at Houston (3/3)...went 2-for-3 at Stephen F. Austin (4/3).

2014 (Freshman): Played in 14 games with 13 starts before missing the rest of the season due to injury...redshirt season...hit .216 with eight hits, two home runs, six RBI, and nine runs scored...went 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored against Jackson State (2/9)...had two, 2-RBI games: at Louisiana Tech (2/9) and against New Mexico State (2/21).

High School: A four-year letterwinner and starter in softball for head coach Casey Anderson...three-time District MVP and All-State....named All-District as a freshman...also competed in volleyball and track, where she was named All-District three years for volleyball and was a three-time track regional qualifier...three-time Academic All-District selection and was named Academic All-State as a senior...played club for the Houston Power and head coach John Glowacz...the team was national qualifiers from 2011-13.

Personal: Full name is Kalyn Nicole Schroeder...a business major...born Aug. 26, 1995, in Katy, Texas...daughter of Dwayne and Lisa Schroeder...has one sister, Jenna...her father, Dwayne, played football at Louisiana-Lafayette, and her mother, Lisa, played softball at Louisiana-Lafayette...enjoys watching movies, swimming, sports, shopping, and hanging out with friends.
