SECOND TEAM ALL-CONFERENCE 2008-09
HBU: Had a 78.7 stroke average during the fall of 2010...posted low rounds of 74 in the third round of the SHSU Funston Invitational and the first round of the HBU Men's Intercollegiate...tied for 22nd at the Huskies' home tournament...as a sophomore, earned American Sky Academic All-Conference honors...posted a 78.6 scoring average...had a season-low round of 71 at the SHSU Elkins Lake Fall Men's Classic...tied for 11th for his best finish of the season at the HBU Husky Invitational...has made the Dean's List at HBU every semester since Fall 2008...as a freshman, earned Second-Team All-Conference honors by tying for 10th at the Great West Championship...recorded two top-10 finishes, including one top five...tied for second at the Bulldog Classic with a season-best one-under par performance...had season best rounds of 70 on two occasions...finished the season with a 78.0 scoring average…was the Huskies' top finisher twice.
High School: Was a four-year letterwinner...45th ranked junior in Texas by Golfweek and No. 46 by Junior Golf Scoreboard…had four top-10 finishes, including a fourth place showing at the Sienna Plantation event in 2007...graduated with honors.
Personal: Born Oct. 24, 1989...son of Joey and Karen Armstrong...has one brother, Joe, and one sister, Dana...enjoys volunteering and playing basketball...majoring in economics.
