2023: Smith appeared in nine games and started seven…finished the season with 24 tackles and was second on the team with 3.5 sacks…forced a pair of fumbles and recovered one…set a new career-high with eight tackles in a win over Arkansas Baptist (9/2)…had a strip sack and recovered the fumble in a win at McNeese (11/11) with four total tackles…also recorded solo sacks at Nicholls (10/7) and vs. Prairie View A&M (10/14)…was credited with half a sack vs. Lamar (9/30)…finished with three tackles at Southeastern (9/23) and vs. UIW (11/18)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2022: Smith started all 11 games…totaled 53 tackles with four for a loss, one and a half sacks, five quarterback hurries, two pass breakups and one forced fumble…recorded a season-high seven tackles vs. Northwestern State (10/15) and vs. McNeese (11/12)…finished with six tackels at Texas A&M-Commerce (10/22)…recorded five tackles in a game three times and finished with four tackles and a sack at Texas State (9/24)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2021: Smith appeared in four games…recorded three tackles…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

High School: Was a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter at Clear Springs High School for coach Craig Dailey. Was a two-time All-Galveston County First Team selection. As a junior, earned first-team all-district honors and as a senior was named team Defensive MVP. Was a three-time academic all-district honoree and also threw more than 50 feet in the shot put.
