Biography

2020: Wallis played in all four games…made 13 tackles and had one quarterback hurry…tied his career high with six tackles at Texas Tech (9/12).

2019: Appeared in 10 games, making nine tackles, one for loss and recovered a fumble…made a career-high six tackles and recovered a fumble against Texas Wesleyan (9/7).

2018: Played in eight games as a sophomore…made three tackles on the season…had one tackle against Southwest Baptist (9/1), McNeese (9/8) and at Central Arkansas (10/6).

2017: Appeared in eight games as a freshman…made one tackle at Nicholls (11/4) and one at fourth-ranked Sam Houston State (11/18).

High School: Played two seasons at Brother Martin High School for coach Mark Bonis…as a senior, recorded 41 tackles, 21 assisted, three for loss, five quarterback pressures, eight sacks, one forced fumble and two pass deflections…helped the Crusaders to an 11-5 finish…also played two seasons of basketball.

Personal: Full name is Vejon Benjamin Louis Wallis…born Dec. 19, 1998, in Houma, Louisiana…son of Venjie Sr. and Qulyndriea Wallis…has one brother, Venjie Jr., and two sisters, Quvenzhane and Qunquekya…cousin, James Butler, played football for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette…majoring in kinesiology.
