2014: Shinn played in all 11 games...was 6-for-11 on field goal attempts and 24-for-26 on extra points…recorded 10 touchbacks on kickoffs…scored the first points in HBU history with a field goal in the first quarter, and went 3-for-5 for the game, against McMurry (9/6)…made a season-long try of 38 yards against the Warhawks… went 2-for-2 on field goal attempts, with a long of 35 yards, at Northern Colorado (9/13)…made 10-of-10 extra points at Texas College (9/20).
 
2013: Appeared in five games, was 3-for-3 on field goal attempts, 18-for-18 on extra points and recorded four touchbacks on kickoffs…made a 32-yard field goal, seven extra points and had a pair of touchbacks at Wayland Baptist…hit a 22-yard field goal against Abilene Christian…made a 19-yard field goal at Incarnate Word…made seven extra points and had two touchbacks against Texas College.
 
Previous College: Played at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for Coach Mark Hudspeth.
 
High School: Shinn was a three-year letterwinner at Rockwall High School for current HBU assistant head coach and offensive coordinator Scott Smith.
