2016: Gardner played six games as a junior…recorded nine tackles (one solo), one for a loss, one quarterback hurry and one pass breakup…made a season-high three tackles at Southeastern Louisiana (10/22) and at Lamar (10/29).

High School: Was a three-year letterwinner for Coach Matthew Carroll at Roosevelt High School in San Antonio…as a senior, recorded 41 tackles, two sacks and three quarterback hurries to earn District 26-5A honorable mention and was elected team captain…as a junior, made 85 tackles (47 solo), two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, 11 quarterback hurries and one sack and was a unanimous all-district selection…as a sophomore, had 27 tackles (11 solo), one quarterback hurry and earned all-district honorable mention…was named academic all-district and was a member of the National Honor Society.
