Biography

2018: Savell played in all 11 games as a junior…made a four-yard touchdown reception at Central Arkansas (10/6).

2017: Played in eight games, including six starts, as a sophomore.

2016: Appeared in eight games as a true freshman...named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

High School: Was a two-year letterwinner and starter at Mansfield High School for Coach Jeff Hulme…was a two-time first-team all-district and academic all-district selection…as a senior, helped lead the Tigers to a 12-3 record, the school’s first-ever state semifinal appearance and first district title in more than 40 years…also made the playoffs his junior season.

Personal: Full name is Sterling LesLee Savell…born Oct. 8, 1997, in Arlington, Texas…son of James and Stephanie Savell…has an older brother, Jake, and an older sister, Jordan.
