2015: Smith redshirted his first year at HBU.

High School: Was a two-year letterwinner at Gilmer High School for Coach Jeff Traylor...recorded 64 tackles, three sacks and a defensive touchdown…in two seasons, made 69 catches for 1,199 yards (17.4 yards per catch) and 14 touchdowns…also played basketball, averaging 9.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game…won the state title in the 300-meter hurdles and helped his sprint relay team claim silver at the state track meet…was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Full name is Nicholas William Smith...born March 2, 1997, in Fort Belvoir, Va. …son of Orlando and Debbie Smith…has one brother, Preston, and two sisters, Angela and Doreeta…uncle, Carlton Smith, played wide receiver at Louisiana Tech…majoring in physics.
