High School: French was a three-year letterwinner at Columbia High School for Coach Randy Lynch...as a senior, made 80 tackles, including nine for losses, five sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a touchdown…was a two-time all-district selection and a three-time academic all-district honoree…earned academic all-state recognition…was also an all-district performer in basketball and baseball and helped the baseball team to a state final appearance…was a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Full name is Michael Roy French...born Aug. 26, 1996, in Lake Jackson, Texas…son of Michael and Janet French…has one brother, Charlie Cahoon, and three sisters: Kandice Ding, Cathryn Anderson and Krystal French.
