2017: Bowling played in all 11 games as a junior and started the last eight…ranked sixth on the team with 58 tackles, including one-half sack and a safety…made two fumble recoveries and three pass breakups…made a career-high nine tackles in the season finale at fourth-ranked Sam Houston State (11/18)…recorded eight tackles and one-half sack against Lamar (11/11) and eight tackles and a safety at McNeese (9/23)…made seven tackles against Central Arkansas (10/7), Stephen F. Austin (10/21) and Nicholls (11/4)…made fumble recoveries against Southeastern Louisiana (10/14) and Northwestern State (10/28).
2016: Appeared in all 11 games as a sophomore…recorded 16 tackles, one pass breakup and blocked a field goal…named Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week after recording six tackles and blocking a potential go-ahead field goal by Abilene Christian (9/17)…the Huskies went on to win the game in overtime, 27-24…made four tackles and broke up a pass against second-ranked Sam Houston State (9/24)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
2015: Played in 10 games as a redshirt freshman and was voted the Special Teams Newcomer of the Year...made four tackles and recovered a fumble…made a season-high three tackles and recovered a fumble in the season opener against Bethany (9/5)...although the stats were unofficial, recorded four tackles against College of Faith (10/3).
2014: Redshirted his first year at HBU.
High School: Contributed to Katy High School’s 31-1 record under Coach Gary Joseph during his junior and senior seasons...Katy captured the 5A Division II State Championship his junior year and was a 5A Division state finalist his senior season...made 20 total tackles during his senior year, including 15 solos and a fumble recovery, while playing outside linebacker...also a vital member of the Tigers’ special teams, earning five “Head Hunter” awards, along with one “Mr. Special Teams” and one “Above & Beyond” award...as a student leader, he spoke for evangelistic outreaches, led two Bible studies and served the Lord in Budapest, Hungary, during Break of his senior year...also played basketball for four years and ran track for three at Katy...earned academic all-district honors in both football and basketball, along with academic all-state honorable mention in both sports as a senior.
