Biography

High School: McDowell was a three-year letterwinner and two-way starter at tight end and outside linebacker for coach Wayne Coleman. As a senior, he had 350 receiving yards with four touchdowns and made 100 tackles with five sacks, two interceptions and also returned a kickoff for a touchdown. He made 95 tackles as a junior and 75 as a sophomore. His grandfather played in the NFL for the New York Giants.
