Biography

2022: Young made three starts while appearing in nine games…caught 10 passes for 86 yards…caught a 35-yard pass vs. Nicholls (10/8)…made three catches for 22 yards at Texas A&M-Commerce (10/22).

2021: Young appeared in five games…completed 27-of-58 passes for 222 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions…completed 16-of-28 passes for 130 yards and two touchdowns at Nicholls (10/2)…recorded three tackles.

2020: Appeared in one game, at North Texas (9/5).

High School: Was a three-year starter at Bastrop High School for coach Todd Patmon…was a two-time first-team all-district selection, earning honorable mention once…as a senior, Young threw for 1,250 yards and rushed for 1,022, scoring more than 20 touchdowns…passed for 1,300 yards and rushed for 650 with more than 20 touchdowns as a junior…was a three-time academic all-state honoree.
