Biography

2016: Garza played in all 11 games as the long snapper, making one tackle, as a junior...did not have a fumbled snap on 25 field goal attempts, 21 extra-point attempts and 80 punts…was the snapper on Alec Chadwick’s 60-yard made field goal at Incarnate Word (11/17), which was the longest field goal in NCAA Division I (FBS and FCS) in 2016.

2015: Garza played in all 11 games as the long snapper, making two tackles (one solo).

2014: Appeared in all 11 games as the Huskies’ long snapper…made three tackles (one solo).

2013: Appeared in all seven games.

High School: Was a two-year starter and three-year letterwinner at Alamo Heights High School for coaches Mike Normant and Don Byrd…Academic All-District.

Personal: Full name is Daniel Nestor Garza…born Feb. 23, 1995, in San Antonio, Texas…son of Rich and Jan Garza…has two brothers, Rich and David and one sister, Kelly…father, Rich, played football at Temple University, the USFL’s Philadelphia Star and San Antonio Gunslingers and played in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles and Denver Broncos…majoring in business management.
