2018: Averette appeared in one game, against Southwest Baptist (9/1)…received a redshirt.

High School: Averette played five years for coach James Cupit...played both ways and had 2,116 all-purpose yards and 30 touchdowns, while recording 76 tackles and 15 sacks as a senior...as a junior, he had 1,768 all-purpose yards and 19 touchdowns, while making 71 tackles, six sacks and three interceptions...made the A&B Honor Roll every year, had a 4.2 GPA and was a member of the National Honor Society and BETA Club.
