Donovan Thompson is in his third year at HCU as the director of player development and team chaplain.
In addition to management positions in private business, Thompson has been the Youth & Young Adults Pastor at Christ Temple Apostolic Church and was a teacher and wide receivers coach at Willowridge High School in Fort Bend ISD.
Thompson is the all-time leading receiver in Angelo State history, where he played from 2014-17. He was a three-time team captain, two-time all-conference and first-team all-region selection and was a Don Hansen All-American. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from ASU in 2017.
