Beau Blair is in his first season as offensive line coach for HCU, joining the Huskies’ staff in January of 2024.
Blair is no stranger to the Southland Conference having spent the previous two years at Northwestern State in the role of offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. After being thrust into the OC role just two weeks ahead of the 2022 season, the Demons ranked 18th in the nation in passing offense, averaging 268.9 yards per game, while allowing the fewest sacks in the conference. Blair led four all-conference selections that season, one quarterback, two receivers and a tight end.
In 2021, Blair served as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at New Mexico Highlands. He led the Cowboys to the top passing offense in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and the number two total offense. He spent two years as offensive line coach at UIW before his time in New Mexico, leading an offensive line unit that paved the way for a rushing attack that averaged 5.1 yards per carry and helped set the table for a top-20 passing offense.
Blair spent one season as a graduate assistant across town at the University of Houston, working with the Cougars’ offensive line that was part of an offense that averaged 46.4 points per game and 538.6 yards per game. He got his start at the collegiate level at Southeastern University in Florida, coaching tight ends and as the assistant offensive line coach. While at SU, the Fire boasted the number one scoring offense in the NAIA. Blair also coached three seasons of high school football in Texas with stops at Jacksonville High School and Diboll High School.
Blair earned his bachelor of arts in liberal studies from Stephen F. Austin in 2014 and also hold a master’s in human performance from New Mexico Highlands.
