2012 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Honorable Mention All-Conference

2012 (Sophomore): One of five Huskies to play in all 16 matches, starting 14...led team with five goals and was second with 10 points...his 31 shots and 18 shots on goal were both second-highest...scored first collegiate goal against Stetson (9/1), then scored another goal in the next match at San Diego State (9/7)...scored the only Husky goal in a 1-1 tie at Air Force (10/14), then had a two-goal game against UNLV (10/21)...played in 1030 minutes, with a season-high 90 minutes coming at Seattle (10/26)...named MPSF Honorable Mention All-Conference...redshirt the 2011 season as a true sophomore.

High School: Home schooled...played club for Dynamo Academy, Houstonians and Eclipse...scored the most goals in 2010 regionals...two-time regional finalist, regional champion, national finalist, two-time state finalist, two-time state champion.

Personal: Full name is Christian Andres Cruz...undecided on academic major...born Feb. 20, 1991, in Beaumont, Texas...son of Jorge and Julie Cruz...father is 2010 HBU Hall of Honor inductee, Jorge Cruz, who played soccer at HBU from 1985-87...his mother, Julie Cruz, also attended HBU from '85-87...has one brother, Jonathan, and two sisters, Julianna and Sophia...enjoys reading, hanging out with friends and playing basketball.
