Sophomore (2009): GWC 10,000 champion, winning with a personal best 32:27.47... also claimed a sixth-place finish in the 5000 at the outdoor championships... fifth in the 5000, seventh in the mile at the GWC indoor meet... 5k best of 15:20.28 came at the Rice Twilight meet... ran 4:00.42 for 1500 PR at Lamar... 20th at GWC cross country championships.
Freshman (2008): competed for Texas A&M.
High School: 2007 district champion in the 3200, also won 2006 cross country title and was runner-up in '05... had bests of 4:08 (1500) and 9:43 (3200)... Personal: Kinesiology major... enjoys watching movies and playing video games... son of Chris and Patsy Mendoza of Pearland...has three brothers... born Feb. 22, 1989, in Houston.
