2020: Bentsen played in all four games…completed his only pass attempt for five yards…rushed six times for 22 yards and a touchdown…scored a touchdown in the opener at North Texas (9/5)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

2019: Appeared in three games as a true freshman…completed 6-of-16 passes for 82 yards, a touchdown and an interception, while rushing four times for 18 yards and a touchdown against Texas Wesleyan (9/7)…named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.

High School: Played one year at Texoma Christian, before playing his final two seasons at Sherman High School for coach JD Martinez...as a senior, completed 121-of-253 passes for 1,450 yards, nine touchdowns and rushed for 462 yards and nine scores...earned District 7-5A honorable mention...as a junior, completed 134-of-238 passes for 1,677 yards, 13 touchdowns and rushed for 530 yards and five touchdowns...named second-team All-District 5-5A and named Herald Democrat All-Texomaland second team...as a sophomore, completed 94-of-204 passes for 1,456 yards, 14 touchdowns and rushed for 344 yards and six touchdowns...earned academic all-state honors...also lettered in basketball, baseball, golf and soccer...won a state championship in soccer as the goalkeeper...was a member of the National Honor Society, PALS and was president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
