2011 (Senior): Played in and started 32 games...hit .216 with 19 hits, four doubles, one triple and 11 RBI...her five home runs were the most in a single season in her career...named GWC Player of the Week on Feb. 16.

2010 (Junior): Appeared in and started 45 games, batting .186…had 21 hits, four doubles, one home run and seven RBI.

2009 (Sophomore): Started all 41 games while batting .261…fifth on the team with 31 hits with four doubles and 16 RBI…second on the team with three home runs…hit a grand slam at Utah Valley…had a .370 slugging percentage…had five sacrifice hits and had one stolen base.

2008 (Freshman): Played in 25 games, starting 21…posted nine hits, including three doubles and nine runs batted in…named to the NFCA Academic All-America Scholar-Athlete team.

High School: Helped Boerne win the 4A State Championship as a senior alongside fellow Husky Sara Corcoran…three-time All-District honoree…earned All-Area honors as a junior and senior…named to the All-State Tournament team as a senior…two-time Offensive MVP and Hustle Award winner as a senior…batted .391 with 24 runs batted in as a senior after batting .380 with 24 RBI as a junior.

Personal: Full name is Kaitlin Anne Southerland...majoring in business administration in accounting...born on Oct. 15, 1988 in Port Arthur, Texas...daughter of Dr. Thomas and Melinda Southerland...has two sisters, Cera and Madison...enjoys reading and watching Bones.
