BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – HCU women's golf opened the 2026-27 season on Monday, playing two rounds at the Lady Clerico, hosted by Oral Roberts at Hillcrest Country Club, and holds a one-stroke lead heading into Tuesday's final round.
As a team, the Huskies shot 603 (301-302) with Lamar, UT Rio Grande Valley and Oral Roberts all sitting one stroke back.
Ploy Makmanee and Sara Pihlajamki paced HCU on day one with both sitting at five-over-par and tied for fifth. Makmanee reached her 149 (73-76) with a steady performance that included four birdies and just eight holes over par. Pihlajamaki was similar in how she reached 149 (74-75), totaling five birdies with nine holes over par.

Alyssa Stewart rounded out the scoring for the Huskies with a two-round total of 153 (75-78).
HCU will close out the Lady Clerico on Tuesday, Sept. 15, with an 8:30 a.m. tee time.
