SAN MARCOS, Texas — The Houston Christian women's golf team is set to compete in the 2026 Southland Conference Championship, with the three-day tournament getting underway Monday, April 13 at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, Texas. Play will continue through Wednesday, April 15.
The Huskies will be one of seven teams in the field, joining East Texas A&M, Incarnate Word, Lamar, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and UTRGV in the conference championship.
Houston Christian will send five players to the course, with
Hailey Hendershott leading the way off the first tee at 12:00 p.m. in the opening round.
Sara Pihlajamaki follows at 12:10 p.m., with
Alyssa Stewart (12:20 p.m.),
Alejandra Ferrer (12:30 p.m.) and Natcha Makmanee (12:40 p.m.) rounding out the lineup for the Huskies.
Serena Churchill is also listed as an available substitute for the team.
The 54-hole championship will be played across three rounds, with Round 1 beginning Monday afternoon. Live scoring for the Southland Conference Championship will be available on Scoreboard.
