Peyton Fadal was named Southland Conference Setter of the Week following the first week of conference play after helping guide the Huskies to a 2-0 record in a pair of road matches.
The Huskies went on the road to earn 3-0 wins at East Texas A&M and Northwestern State with Fadal averaging an impressive 11.5 assists per set. She also added seven kills, 14 digs and two blocks in the two wins.
Fadal started things off with a career-best 43-assist effort in the win at ETAMU for an average of 14.33 assists per set. Her previous career-high was 42, set earlier this season in a four-set win over Louisiana Tech. She followed that up with a 26-assist, five kill and eight dig performance at NSU.
Fadal and the Huskies are back inside Sharp Gym this week, hosting McNeese on Thursday, Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m. before taking on Nicholls on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 1:00 p.m.
