HCU Hosts Competitive Field at Riverbend Intercollegiate

HOUSTON, Texas – The HCU women's golf team will host the Riverbend Intercollegiate on March 10-11 at Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land, Texas. The event, played on a par-72 course spanning 6,148 yards, will feature a competitive field, including teams from Houston, ACU, McNeese, Lamar, Missouri State, Prairie View A&M, Long Island, Tarleton State, SFA, Odessa College, New Mexico State, UTA, East Texas A&M, UTRGV, and McLennan Community College.

The Huskies are coming off a tied-for-10th finish at the GCU Invitational, where they posted a three-round total of 910 (+46) with consistent rounds of 302-304-304. Lou Rousselot led the team in the final round with an even-par 71, while Natcha Makmanee added a 76 and Abigail Inocian shot a 77. Hailey Hendershott and Alyssa Stewart each turned in an 80 to round out the lineup.

The tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on monday. Natcha Makmanee will tee off on hole 1B, Lou Rousselot on hole 1A, Alyssa Stewart on hole 2B, Hailey Hendershott on hole 2A, and Alejandra Ferrer on hole 3. Competing as individuals, Abigail Inocian will start on hole 4, Josalyn Keller on hole 18B, and Jacqueline Nguyen on hole 18A.

Following the home tournament, the Huskies will travel to Nashville, Tennessee, for The Nashville Invitational on March 24-25.
