FRISCO, Texas – HCU's
Peyton Fadal was voted Southland Conference Setter of the Week for the second time this season after a pair of impressive performances during a 1-1 week for the Huskies.
The sophomore helped guide the Huskies to a 3-1 win over champion Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with a career-high 51 assists. She also had nine digs in the win and registered a pair of block assists. Fadal then followed that up with 45 assists,10 digs and three solo blocks in a hard-fought 3-1 loss to UT Rio Grande Valley.
Fadal leads the Southland Conference with 11.9 assists per set in conference play.
The Huskies are on the road this week for a pair of matches, first taking on Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches, Texas on Thursday, Oct. 16, at 6:00 p.m. before facing Lamar in Beaumont, Texas at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18.
