Hall, Platt inducted into Red River Athletic Conference Hall of Fame

Pair become school's fifth and sixth inductees joining Hodo, Cottrell, Fordjour and Smith

WACO, Texas --- HCU Head softball coach Mary-Ellen Hall and former volleyball coach Kaddie Mahoney Platt have been inducted into the Red River Athletic Conference Hall of Fame as part of an eight-member Class of 2024, as announced by the league office.

"With the utmost appreciation for the individuals that have elevated the RRAC, we are proud to honor our 2024 Hall of Fame selections for their achievements at their institutions and their contributions to our conference," says RRAC Commissioner Tony Stigliano. "We are now in our 27th season as a conference and our success is due to those who have excelled as student-athletes, coaches and administrators."

The pair becomes the school's fifth and sixth inductees since the league began its Hall of Fame in 2020. HCU, then Houston Baptist University, was a charter member of the RRAC in 1998 where it remained until moving back to the NCAA Division I ranks before the 2007-08 seasons.

Hall and Platt join previous HBU/HCU inductees Charles Fordjour (Men's Basketball) and Elinor Smith (Volleyball/Women's Basketball) in 2020, and former HBU President, the late Dr. E.D. Hodo (league founder) and Ron Cottrell (Men's Basketball/Athletic Director) in 2022.
