SUGAR LAND, TX – HCU host the 2023 Colin Montgomerie Invitational at Sweetwater Country Club (Pecan Course). The 54-hole tournament will be played on Monday, March 6 and Tuesday, March 7, with 36-holes being played Monday, concluding with 18 holes on Tuesday.
HCU will be sending out two teams for this years' tournament. HCU- A Team will include seniors
Mason Ghidina,
Ransom Jacobson and
Ben Caton, junior
Cooper New, and sophomore
Shaheen Momin. HCU- B Team will include, senior
Michael Townsend, junior
Oliver Dickman, sophomore
Haven McEntire, and freshmen
Roy Barrera and
Mason Napier.
This year's tournament features a 15-team field, including HCU, UH, Missouri State, North Dakota, Nicholls, Omaha, Southeastern Louisiana, SFA, Tarleton State, Texas A&M Commerce, UIW, UTRGV, Weber State, PVAMU, and TSU.
HCU- A Team will tee off on holes 1 through 4, playing with Weber State, Missouri State, and North Dakota. HCU- B Team will tee off on holes 14 through 18, playing with SFA, PVAMU and the University of Houston.
