HOUSTON, TEXAS – The Huskies return home to host and defend the HCU Husky Invitational at the 5,937-yard Riverbend Country Club in Sugar Land, Tx. The tournament will be 54-holes, with 36-holes being played on Monday, March 13
th, and the final 18 holes on Tuesday, March 14
th. The Huskies are looking to three-peat after winning the 2023 Islander Classic and the 2023 UTRGV Invitational at their last two starts.
Senior
Elise Parel leads the team line up for this week after being selected as the Southland Conference Women's Golfer of the Month for the month of February. Parel had recorded back-to-back individual wins starting at the Texas A&M Corpus Christi, 2023 Islander Classic, where she won by one stroke and the 2023 UTRGV Invitational where she won on the second playoff hole. Parel is ranked #1 in the Southland Conference with a 72.48 scoring average and three wins on the season.

Lou Rousselot, and freshman
Alejandra Ferrer and Josalyn Keller to complete this week's line up. Senior
Aysis Azarcon, junior
Rocio Comparini, and Sophomore
Jackie Nguyen will be participating as individuals for the Huskies.
The HCU Husky Invitational will be a 15-team field that will include: HCU, Bradley, Charleston Southern, Illinois State, Lamar, Appalachian State, Omaha, Sam Houston State, Tarleton State, UTEP, Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, ULM, UT-Arlington, and UTRGV.
HCU will play with Charleston Southern and ULM teeing off on holes one through four at 8:30 a.m.
