The Huskies return to the course this week to compete in the Islander Classic hosted by Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi on Monday, February 20
th and Tuesday, February 21
st. The tournament will be played at the 6112-yard Corpus Christi Country Club in Corpus Christ, Texas. The Huskies finished in second place at the Islander Classic in 2022, following a third-place finish in 2021, and a second-place finish in 2020.
HCU will be sending out a lineup of Senior
Elise Parel, Junior
Rocio Comparini, Sophomores
Lou Rousselot and
Jackie Nguyen and Freshman
Alejandra Ferrer.
Aysis Azarcon will also compete this week as an individual. The Huskies are looking to continue a strong opening to their season following their top-five finish at the SeaBest Intercollegiate last week.
The 15-team field includes: HCU, TAMUCC, UTRGV, Tennessee Tech, Creighton, Drake, Southern Illinois, Lamar, Omaha, SFA, UT Arlington, Valpo, Texas A&M- Kingsville, McLennan CC and PVAMU.
HCU will tee off at 8 a.m. on holes three through six, playing alongside Creighton and Drake.
