HOUSTON, Texas – The Huskies continue a tough stretch of five matches in 10 days hosting conference rival Lamar at Sharp Gym at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. HCU sits four games back of Southeastern with seven games remaining in the conference season.
The Huskies remain perfect against the Cardinals in Sharp Gym since 2020 with a undefeated 6-0 set differential and are a stellar 5-0 total since 2020 with a 15-1 set differential. HCU swept Lamar in the first conference matchup of the season in Beaumont at McDonald Gym.
The Huskies (12-11, 7-4 SLC) are led by
Sara Arroyo averaging 3.03 kills per set while
Audrey Pearce averages 2.60 kills per set and holds 2
nd in the Southland averaging 1.13 blocks per set.
Cassidy Drapela is 4
th in the conference averaging 9.89 attacks per set and converting with an average of 2.71 kills per set.
Grace McLaughlin is dishing out an average of 9.48 assists per set but
Mollee Henicke has averaged 11.33 assists per set in the last two games.
Kaley Feris continues to lead the Huskies defensively averaging 4.25 digs per set ranking 3
rd in the SLC.
The Cardinals (1-21, 1-10 SLC) are led by Lyric Jordan leading the conference in attacks per set with 11.38 and converts on an average of 3.30 kills per set. Joe Moffitt is dishing out an average of 7.72 assists per set while Kaeden Robinson leads Lamar's back line averaging 3.78 digs per set.
